I'm looking for a tattoo to help inspire ideas for my fiance'. preferably Japanese influenced tattoos would be great. hes looking into getting a sleeve and is on the skinnier side. so if anyone would be kind enough to post masculine sleeves that would be great, or even if it isn't Japanese influenced and you think its completely awesome, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time!

| | angry | ] | According to this, Johnny Weir has not been invited to join Stars on Ice, because he has been deemed to be not 'family friendly' and has confirmed it himself. It doesn't matter that he's an incredibly strong athlete or a great entertainer, nor even that he supports his own family. What matters is the perception that, somehow, he is making men's skating 'too gay' according to the bigotry of some commentators at the Winter Olympics.
So the producers of Stars on Ice have clearly completely forgotten or choose to forget the LGBTQI people are members of families too. And this makes me angry because this because this is all part of the spectrum in which the suicide rate is so much higher among LGBTQI teens than the rest of the population and that murder rates are horrifically high for trans people.
So below the cut are two videos of Johnny Weir skating to Lady Gaga's Poker Face.

| Real Deal Tattoo Convention in Kansas City, MO! x-posted |
[Mar. 14th, 2010|02:50 pm] |
So I spent all day in Kansas City, MO yesterday at the Real Deal Tattoo Convention! It was held at the Uptown Theater on the 2nd floor. I'd say there were about 20-30 booths set up (and one for tattoo removal, hahaha). A lot of them were Missouri area shops/artists, but there were a few from California, Connecticut and elsewhere. Yoji (sp?) and Darren Brass were there for some reason and were just walking around (they didn't do any tattooing that I saw). Unfortunately, the weather started to get shitty, so me and my friend had to head back to Lincoln, NE before the judging started. At least we both left with souvenirs!

( And my little present to myself. May be NSFW due to placement. ) |

Hi, I'm new here :) I'm Katy, eighteen. This was my first tattoo, done by Kat at Jacks in Romford (England):
( Explination )
I wanted to expand on that tattoo, by getting "I'm as free as a bird now, and this bird you cannot change" tattooed, from the song "Free Bird" by Lynyrd Skynyrd. One of my favourite songs, but I'm not sure how it'd look underneath or around of next to the tattoo I already have. Honest opinions are appreciated :) Thanks :) |
